Genworth Financial’s charity donation supports Limerick Regional Hospital in IrelandGenworth volunteers collected €5,000 for the ‘Children’s Ark’ in 2009Shannon, Ireland – 29 June, 2010 – Genworth Financial and volunteers from throughout Shannon have raised €5,000 for the “Children’s Ark,” the Children’s Wing of the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick . “Every year the Shannon-based Genworth Volunteers support a number of local charities amongst which: Carrigoran House nursing home, Clare Haven Women’s Refuge, Clare Care, Fr. Gerry Daly Food Appeal, Adapt House, Limerick Social Service and Junior Achievers, and they also choose a specific charity to be the beneficiary of the majority of our volunteer hours and donations” says Paul Foster, Chairman of the Genworth Volunteers Shannon. Over the years the volunteers have painted houses, schools and carried out a variety of gardening projects and “we are very proud of our contribution to our community because we believe in the power of keeping our promises” adds Foster. In recent years the Genworth Volunteers have also supported the Friends of Bluebell Autistic School in Patrickswell, Limerick and the Blue Box Creative Learning Centre in Limerick City as their annual chosen charities.
